About Me

I spent the first few years of my career at a PR agency helping global B2B and consumer technology brands place news with Tier 1 business and trade media. Then I gave up half my salary to work on a Senate campaign that I truly believed in.

Now I'm working for the United Steelworkers (USW) union at their International HQ.

I studied communications at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, and have practical knowledge in PR, social media, and long-form journalism.

I am passionate about universal healthcare, social justice, the environment, worker’s rights, and LGBTQ+ issues.

Agency Work

For three+ years, I worked at Matter Communications moving my way up from Account Coordinator to Senior Account Executive. During my time there I secured media opportunities, worked directly with client contacts, pitched new business, drafted long-form brand journalism and managed junior staff.

In addition to my client responsibilities, which focused on B2B tech, I co-chaired the company's Sustainability Committee, planned teambuilding events for the Pittsburgh office, and interviewed and onboarded interns and incoming account coordinators.

Fetterman Campaign

In July 2022 I stepped into the political circus of the PA Senate race and joined the Fetterman campaign.

As a press assistant, I handled media monitoring, content drafting support, research, some digital organizing, and helped with media staffing during events. I also oversaw the department's interns directly.

My favorite projects included writing op-eds on behalf of the candidate and drafting content for the So.Informed Instagram page.

Our team flipped the only Senate seat of the 2022 midterm election cycle, despite it being the most expensive race in the country.

United Steelworkers (USW)

As a communications professional at the USW, I split my time between media relations efforts and writing projects.

I have had the opportunity to draft and pitch press releases on topics such as the State of the Union, the PRO Act, International Women’s Day, and several key organizing victories.

For a recent union win at Blue Bird, our team secured 40+ unique pieces of coverage.

Additionally, I contribute articles to our quarterly member magazine, USW@Work.

I've written content on behalf of clients in industries from retail technology to software development to international trade. I can become an SME quickly and write nimbly on behalf of your organization.
